This is the orignal woodwork in the entrance hallway, maple floor, with chestnut stairs and mahogany handrail and original doors. Lovingly restored.

The Stella Rose Bed and Breakfast was built in the 1880's, and is a lovely old Victorian house, with all of the modern amenities.

Located in the center of Main St., Hartford, it is surround by the charm, beauty and history of a small town. Originally built by David Northrup it was used for a short time as a tavern and later as a small hotel. It was later made over into a home by Byron Brayton.

The addition burned around 1980 and the house sat empty for 27 years until it was purchased by Robbie Boucher from South Hartford. Robbie restored the main part of the house and sold it to Sandra Sawn the current owner.  Sandra had the addition rebuilt  when she decided to open a B & B.

Staying at the Stella Rose is a truly memorable and fun experience. We pride ourselves on taking excellent care of our guests and making them feel at home from the first moment they step into the home.
